The Finger of God

Well, I suppose you live long enough and you might just see it all. I saw my first tornado a few days ago and it was spectacular. I appreciate the words of Mark Spain of Fox 30 News as he described the tornado as it touched down on the St Johns River. He said it looked as though the finger of God had reach down to touch the city. As God dragged His finger down the river it reminded me of the majesty and power of the Almighty. Surely He loves us. But it is not the tornado that speaks the loudest in the display of His love for mankind, it is the Cross. The heart of God was bore open to all of humanity in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. The payment of Calvary fully cleared the way for any man or women to come to God, All by His grace with none of or goodness or effort included. Sure, I believe God's finger touched down in the St Johns last week but it is the Cross that fully shows us His great love.
